We want you to feel confident when purchasing from ShortsMate AI. If there is a problem caused by the Service itself, such as a failed order, a failed generation, or credits being deducted without the promised service being delivered, we will investigate and make it right at no additional cost to you.

This Refund Policy explains when discretionary refunds may be issued for subscriptions, one-time purchases, and credit-based products.

1. Refund eligibility

A refund request may be considered only if both of the following conditions are met for the applicable purchase type:

If either the refund window or the usage limit is exceeded, the request may be declined.

2. Service errors

Regardless of the limits above, if the issue is caused by a technical failure on our side, including but not limited to:

  • a payment was completed but the product or credits were not delivered;
  • the Service failed to perform as described and no automatic refund or restoration was issued;
  • duplicate charges occurred for the same transaction;

we will review the issue and, where appropriate, provide a refund, credit restoration, or another reasonable remedy.

3. Non-refundable situations

Refunds are generally not available in the following situations:

  • the request is submitted outside the applicable refund window;
  • the account has exceeded the usage limit for the purchased plan or credit pack;
  • the purchase was made by mistake after substantial use of the Service;
  • dissatisfaction is based on personal preference when the Service functioned as intended;
  • the account has violated our Terms of Service, including abuse, fraud, prohibited content, or other unauthorized use;
  • a chargeback was initiated before contacting our support team and giving us a reasonable opportunity to review the issue;
  • downtime, delay, or performance issues caused by third-party platforms, internet service providers, user configuration, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

4. Subscription cancellation

Canceling a subscription stops future renewals only. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in this policy.

If you cancel, you will continue to have access to the paid features until the end of your current billing cycle, unless your account is suspended or terminated under our Terms of Service.

5. How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and include:

  • your order number, invoice number, or transaction reference;
  • the plan or product purchased;
  • a brief explanation of the issue or reason for the request;
  • any relevant screenshots or supporting details, if available.

We aim to review refund requests within 5 business days. If approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise required by law. The time it takes for the funds to appear depends on your payment provider or financial institution.

6. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution and may result in account suspension while the matter is under review.

7. Consumer rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws. If local law grants you additional rights, those rights will apply.
